ATLANTA - The Georgia Latino Law Foundation (“GLLF”) announced today that the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has agreed to be a Silver Sponsor of the organization. In recognition of Greenberg Traurig’s support, a GLLF Fellowship will be named after the firm. The Greenberg Traurig GLLF Fellow will intern at a Georgia non-profit organization providing legal services to the Latino community during the Summer of 2017. The fellowship will allow a law student to gain substantive legal experience while providing an invaluable service to the community. 2017 Foundation Fellows will be recognized at a Fellowship Luncheon to be held on April 18, 2017.
GLLF’s mission is to increase diversity in the legal profession by supporting the Latino legal community pipeline. In addition, GLLF seeks to increase the Latino community's access to the legal system by educating and empowering Latinos to join the legal profession. GLLF’s vision is provide a pathway to success for Latinos interested in the legal profession through pre-law education, mentoring, and substantive legal experience opportunities to provide them with the necessary tools, preparation and relationships in order to encourage them to enter the practice of law and to guide them to success in law school and beyond.
