ATLANTA (April 9, 2018) – The Georgia Latino Law Foundation (“GLLF”) has announced that it will recognize attorneys Adria L. Perez and Jessica J. Wood with the 2018 GLLF Trailblazer Award. In addition to supporting the Foundation’s programs, they have both gone above and beyond to mentor and champion Latino law students in Georgia and have been active participants in GLLF events and programs. Their contributions will be recognized at the GLLF Fellowship Luncheon on April 11, 2018, at the offices of Troutman Sanders LLP.
GLLF’s mission is to increase diversity in the legal profession by supporting the Latino legal community pipeline. In addition, GLLF seeks to increase the Latino community's access to the legal system by educating and empowering Latinos to join the legal profession. GLLF’s vision is to provide a pathway to success for Latinos interested in the legal profession. Ir does so through pre-law education, mentoring, and substantive legal experience opportunities which aim to provide Latino law students with the necessary tools, preparation and relationships they need to effectively enter the practice of law, and to guide them to success in law school and beyond.
